Rent to Own for Uber Drivers - FAQ
Thank you for your interest in Mode Rideshare’s partnership with Uber! Below, you’ll find answers to the most common questions about renting an EV vehicle for Uber.
How does it work?
Mode Rideshare is tailored just for rideshare drivers, featuring two adaptable vehicle plans to fit your needs.
Our primary option, Flexi Own, lets you work towards owning your vehicle while enjoying all the necessary benefits for a seamless experience. Every payment you make contributes to your car's ownership, and once you complete your last payment, you can transfer ownership for just $1.
If you’d like to explore whether being a rideshare driver suits you, our Flexi Try plan is perfect for you. With Flexi Try, you’ll have all the on-road benefits of Flexi Own, but at the end, you won’t own the car.
No matter which plan you choose, Mode Rideshare takes care of everything, including insurance, servicing, registration, and maintenance.

What is included in the weekly fee?
Mode Rideshare simplifies car ownership for rideshare drivers by providing a comprehensive solution that helps them earn more, spend less, and worry less—all for a convenient weekly payment.
This weekly fee not only covers the cost of your vehicle (similar to what you would typically pay if financing a car through a traditional lender), but it also includes all the essential expenses of owning and operating a rideshare car. This means you’ll have coverage for registration, specialized damage and loss protection, scheduled maintenance, ongoing items like replacement tires and brakes, 24/7 roadside assistance, access to an Uber-approved courtesy car if your vehicle is damaged or requires warranty repairs, along with other exclusive benefits for Splend drivers.
Are there any additional costs?
